Bruce Morrison's Performance Lectures
The Glamour and Glitter, the History and Headlines of  West End & Broadway Musical Theatre

In addition to his series of Performance Lectures, Bruce Morrison presents a number of acclaimed and applauded matinee or pre-dinner performances, many - if not all - suited to various parts of the world (British Isles, Far Fast, Pacific Ocean etc.) or special days (St Valentine's Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas  Day etc.)

THEATRICALITIES are devised and directed by David Owen-Bell

This heartwarming and hilarious Entertainment in song, music, letters, gossip and legend, set amongst the grace, glamour and grandeur of Buckingham Palace, Balmoral and Windsor Castle, tells the story of the Life, Loves and Laughter of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, her Prince Consort and the other romances in her life. A memorable, unmissable evening…

In a spellbinding solo performance, Bruce (in the role of Anna’s son, Louis Leonowens) tells the world-reknowned - and true - story of an English governess and the King of Siam. The glittering backdrop of the temples and palaces of Bangkok sets the scene for a Victorian gentlewoman, who steps from a sheltered English life into a dazzling Siamese royal court of slaves, harems, and the whims of a complex and fascinating king, torn between tradition and the modern world.

The sounds, smells, sights and stories of Victorian London are brought vividly to life as Bruce Morrison recreates the world-famous and best-loved characters of Charles Dickens’ cherished and treasured writings, OLIVER TWIST, DAVID COPPERFIELD, A CHRISTMAS CAROL and more, recalling Dickens renowned dramatic onstage readings, with which he toured both Britain and America to enormous acclaim.

LETTERATI – Love, Letters, Life & Laughter

Bruce presents a heart warming, humorous and charming solo performance, exploring 5 centuries of Love, Life and Laughter through the wit and wisdom of Love Letters and their writers – in the forgotten art and craft of correspondence, from the pens of famous kings, queens, lovers, actors and adventurers!

Based on the original logbook, letters and diaries of Capt. William Bligh, Bruce dramatises the infamous Mutiny On The Bounty, as Fletcher Christian and the mutineers set Capt. Bligh and 18 crew members adrift in the ship's open launch. Bligh safely completed an historical and terrifying 4,000 mile voyage from Tofua in the South Pacific, past the dangers of the Great Barrier Reef, through the Endeavour Straights, and  to the safety of Timor in Indonesia, thus achieving one of the greatest feats of navigation known to man!

100 YEARS OF HEROES 1918 -2018

Commissioned for the Centenary of World War One, 100 YEARS OF HEROES is an emotional, powerful, patriotic and stirring Tribute in Music, Song, Words and Poetry, to all who have fought and fallen from Flanders to the Falklands, from Arras to Afghanistan.

Join Bruce in a hilarious and heart-warming Entertainment with words and music from Benny Hill to Albert & The Lion, Loch Lomond to Danny Boy, Bread Of Heaven to The Floral Dance - a sparkling kaleidoscope of the manners, morals, music and majesty of Britain and the British!

The World-famous Romances, Legends, Humour, Poetry, Songs and Music of the Irish are brought together in this melodic compilation of charm, wit, laughter and blarney! Bruce conjures up a true leprechaun’s pot of golden musical magic, merriment and majesty – featuring the wit and wisdom and wile of THAT EMERALD ISLE.

Bruce re-lives the glamour and excitement of the early days of ocean travel (and the first days of luxury world cruising) in a witty, light-hearted and often uproarious tribute to the pukka Sahibs and Memsahibs, British Officers and Gentlemen who headed out East to take the famous ‘Passage To India’. With letters, poetry, laughter and songs from Coward to Kipling.

Originally comissioned for TITANIC’s 100th Anniversary, this unusual, atmospheric, moving and heartfelt production features Bruce Morrison in dramatic and fascinating portrayals of her captain, crew and passengers – from the distinguised to the ordinary – describing their memorable experiences, their laughter and their fears on that fateful Atlantic crossing.

Charles Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL

First commissioned by and premiered at the Barbados Holders Christmas Festival, Bruce recreates Charles Dickens’ well-loved Festive Tale with tears and laughter in a ‘Tour De Force’ atmospheric solo performance, bringing to brilliant life the colourful characters of Scrooge, Marley, Tiny Tim and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present & Future. Unmissable!

The Spirit Of Christmas

Bruce presents a truly festive Christmas Cracker of an Entertainment - a solo performance of music, memories and magic; with song, poetry, carols, letters and laughter, joyously reflecting the mood, themes, history and beauty of Christmas, and the worldwide Yuletide message.
